I hope marshal is using a bug tracking system and since we are pretty close to the release I have this wild and crazy idea...

A while ago Mr Ellis told us he had gotten 40 new bugs/requests reported... I think it would be fun to follow the progres something like this:
Some date: 40 new bugs since last time. Total to be fixed before release: 38
Some other date a few days later: 7 new bugs. Total to be fixed before release: 9 (36 of the old ones fixed!)
Yet another later date: 3 new bugs. Total to be fixed before release: 12 (Poor Ellis has not fixed a single thing since last time).

Well I'll keep on dreaming...

In another dream I get read only access to the bug/requirement tracking system and get the statistics myself every hour...

Quote form the old KUNG FU series, starring David Carradine

"Master why do you call me grasshopper?"

"BECUASE YOU BUG ME!"

ive worked as a tester for EA and Activision, and while i cannot wait for EiA to come out, i can sympathize with the difficulty of testing a game that is more about strategy than reactions/button mashing (thank god). ive been waiting years for this game and ill wait years more if thats what it takes to make a good game with a smart AI. now... any testing positions open? hehe, had to ask

best wishes all!

Hey guys:

How bout some scary facts:

Over 1300 bugs introduced.
Over 1290 bugs fixed.
Over 200 Enhancements.
Over 175 introduced enhancements.

AND we're still counting....

Thank you

I'm in love and will give you my first born daughter!

10 open bugs and 25 enhancements doesn't sound that bad. It sounds great unless one of the enhancements are "rewrite all"...

CSS:
I'm assuming "enhancement" means something that should be changed in the game but it is not a bug. Could be anything from new sound to implementing a new rule or better AI.

Edit: Hm... missed the "over"... well hope "over" is not more than a few... I mean 2000 is "over" 1300...
But keep these things coming Ellis and you might get my first born son and/or second born son/daughter of your choice too! Better get home and start making all those babies...

How about another bug statistic?

How many times have people asked, "Is it ready yet?"

That has been asked probably more than the number of bugs in the game.

BTW: Do you have a release date yet? Just kidding!!!

Hey guys:

When I mention the number of bugs, it is 1300 and change i.e. 1359.

An enhancement is a change that does not affect game rules BUT will streamline some process. An example of this would be double-clicking a unit during the reinforcement phase will automatically bring up the reinforcement screen and allow you to reinforce this selected corps (if it can be reinforced???) as opposed to having to select the unit then click the reinforce button.

There will not be a second round of betas. We are in the 7th inning stretch as it is!

The excitement is building since even I myself can at least see light at the end of the tunnel!

Thank you

Thanks Ellis,

I have been looking forward to this game since I first discovered Matrix Games. (After doing a search on the web for Empires in Arms) I have since purchased "Campaigns on the Danube" and "War in the Pacific." I have been very impressed with the level of customer support and responsiveness of the staff by Matrix. The more I have dealt with this company, the more excited I am getting to finally get this game. I just hope the light is the end of the tunnel and not an oncoming train. Here is hoping I can again add it to my Christmas wish list and actually get it this year.

Maybe you were a bad boy last year. Oh wait we all were. I also am hoping for xmas as summer is over and I didn't get to waste it away playing EIA.
