ok I have 8.0 and down loaded the 8.2.. So do I delete 8.0 prior to unziping 8.2. I await your direction

You do not have to delete the earlier version.

I would install version 8.2 as a new install beside the old version then move any saved turns, campaign saves or precious downloaded scenarios or campaigns from the old install to the new install before I then delete the old install.

If your v8 install is installed as "Steel Panthers World At War" (which I think is the default) you might like to install the v8.2 version as "Steel Panthers WaW" or "SPWAW v8.2" for example.

Uh, you can move that stuff to a neutral location, uninstall the old, including deleting registry entries, and install the new. Then move that stuff in place. A good idea also is to keep all downloaded stuff backed up, like on a cd. Then all you need when you upgrade is any save files and you don't have a stroke when your hard drive fails.
