I have played the first mission. I don´t understand. I used the option "stuka", but I saw no one in the mission. Can anyone explain for me?
Roger

Chances are they weren't there because your request for air support to high command was turned down. You don't always get what you want, unfortunately. Eric Maietta

You might be lucky, not having the Stukas. If the CAS is a little TOO "close", your friendlies can easily be bombed and strafed. Besides, the stingy high command in LV doesn't give you the really good tank-busting Stukes (maybe they are being saved for late in the campaignk I don't know). You get the ones with the fragmentation bombs; these can do a lot of damage to troops and soft-skinned vehicls in the open, but aside from the occasional direct turret-top hit will not take out an AFV. Slow'em down, yes. Make the AFV crew wish there was a latrine handy, sure. So they help some, but I would just as soon have a dozen or more of those recon guys toting anti-tank mines. They are gloriously successful. Almost as good as the Soviet Superhuman Hell's Angel Motorcycle Corps. When CAS works the way intended in W@W it is a joy to watch - the rocket equipped Typhoons are my personal favorite. Otherwise, per Rommel, I wish they had given me another division. Bing

Well, I guess in the first scenario Roger was asking about, you don't really need tank-busting Stukas...

True. He will, however, if he continues with LV. He really will want them. I promise. What I'm really saying is that thus far in LV, now doing the 5th battle, the CAS has not been anything to write home to meine Mutter about. Bing

I will not hear anything bad said about the Luftwaffe after two BF-110s cooked two KV-1s on the road to Dubno
