Ver 1.2 , started after patch. scen 16 (but did it before the patch on 15 as well)

this has happened several times but i have a save game before this one. in this case a attack out of chungking is combined with a US carrier strike in the marshell island's. does not happen very often and this is the first time 2 strikes have combined into one...usally it is a naval attack out of Batrvia but shows out of chungking.....the common point seems to be chungking

in another game, I had seen something like this, but from PM to Lea, but it would show the attack going on in China

now in my current game, just seen something more like you are saying, I took Adaminada island (OOPS, up by China) it sent Sword fish and Beuforts to attack a Transport TF, but I seen P-39's and A-20's flying with it, only 39's and 20's are based at PM)

from the looks of the 2 attacks, only Trops hit the ships, so it may be a grahpics glitch

I thought it was a graphic's glitch also but doing my last "encounter" it acually combined the Carrier strike with the ground strike when it was thousands of miles away...it was hard to tell which ground force was acually hit....
