hi all,

i played UV for 6 month oder more and bought right now witp.

waiting for the e-mail now and thought i can ask you cracks some questions about things, which were a little bit frustrating in UV:

-i had a problem with the system damage of the ships when they made regular operations without beeing hit by the enemy. i felt, that the ships get system damage from routine operations too easy and it took also too long to repair this damage even in nouma or truk. is this still a problem in witp or have the ships a higher chance to avoide system damage from routine operations?

-i had some problems with the AI when i set a convoy to patrol/dont retreat and routine convoy. very often, the AI just changed the setting of the convoy to retreat and so i had to check every routine convoy each round to be sure, that they head for their destination. sometimes also my convoys headed back for truk although their home base was rabaul! is the AI better in witp when it comes to handeling routine convoys?

-i got also some problems by creating TF. sometimes, the ship selection window went crazy and i had to scroll up again after picking a ship because the visible window part (where the ships are listed in) made a jump to another position of the ship selection window. is that fixed in witp?

would be happy to know if this problems which does exist in UV are fixed or at least lowerd in witp or not?

bye

edit:

what about the AI strengh? i felt, that the AI was cheating alot in UV when i set the game difficulty to harder then realistic. my ships got system damage even faster and the preformance of the AG were below their possibilities. is the AI realy challenging in witp when i set it to historical and play the IJN side?

1. System damage has been greatly reduced in WITP. I have 1 game where a CV has been at sea doing ops for 27 days and only has 3 sys damage.

2. Do not use the routine convoys. They will do some strange things that will piss you off.

3. Have not noticed this jump in WITP.

AI is the AI. Play on hard or above for a decent game. PBEM is the only way to go though.

thanks @2ndACR.

my main concern was the too high operational system damage of the ships espacialy when playing above historical difficulty level.

when thats not a problem anymore, i could live with all the other small cheatings of the AI.

bye
