My Acrobat reader can only open one of the manuals, the one about the Editor. On any of the others I get a message of "this viewer cannot decrypt this document."

I have the latest Acrobat reader.

Anyone got any ideas?

That error means you do *not* have the latest Acrobat installed.

*uninstall* all versions from your machine then grab the latest again from http://www.adobe.com/reader

One of the silly things with Adobe is you can have multiple versions installed at once so if you had the old and installed the new, the old is probably still the one launching.

Yeah that was the problem, thought I had the latest version but it turned out I had to uninstall the old one before it actually worked.

Thanks guys.

Depends on how setup things, I have both 5.0 and 6.0 installed but it is 6.0 that is the default in my settings.

In windows you set certain programs as default, like my winzip is the default used if file is a .zip rather then XP's built in.

Its just a matter of setting the version 6.0 if hasn't been as the default program for .pdf

Or its as simple as setting 6.0 as default program to open .pdf as I have it set in the file types settings where you set what program works with what file type.

So 6.0 opens not 5.0 with both installed.
