Hi all! I'm afraid I have to report a bug which seems new (at least I did not see anything similar in this forum).
I had already finished the Stalin Line scenario "The next challenge" (SCEN 35, NODE 12B) and went to the introductionary screen for the scenario "Making of a Tiger Ace". I went to see the battle options, but there weren't any, and so I clicked on "Continue". Next thing happened was a line in the left bottom of the screen saying "SPWAW_SAVE_V101x51", and below another which said "Error .... DATA!!!"
Between Error and DATA there were 3 other words which I was not able to read because this line was written over the last battle record line from the previous scenario.
After some time, the screen changed and up came the side selection screen; only that both sides were "German Player". By clicking on "Continue" the game crashed to the Windows desktop.
I have save files for this.
Hopefully this one has already been adressed in the LV patch. AC

This should be fixed in the LV patch due out hopefully next week, there are some problems with branching nodes/scenarios not going anywhere or being corrupt. [ February 16, 2002: Message edited by: gmenfan ]

Hi Scenario works fine, just checked it. It must be core.dat file that has been redone in update. Core.dat has caused problems to us as it is originally made in v4.5 and only checked later. Now along the OOB changes it has become more or less useless due to changes in 7.1 OOB. Sorry about it. Update as soon as possible LV. It should be out this weekend. Mech exe and OOBs also are crusial updates. mosh

I had same error prolem as AC, except mine happened the scenario after "making of a Tiger ace" the first with the Pripet Marshes. I tried to start the scenario after picking my final options and got "Erroe unable to load oob01,255 Data there were other numbers but could only make out those 2 it kept scrolling thru them and then it went to the cont. screen for picking computer or human chooses but showed no flags and then crashed. Great game so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!URSUS

Ursus: same as to A_C: *dat file messed up due to OOB changes. Months spended to make Lost Victories are not counted in two hands. Efforts from all involved are magnifient. Testers were best players that we could have. And offcourse we had grognards and cynics with us... It is embarrasing that these things came up after releasing the beast, but when something new is invented then someone allways suffer. My opinion is that when you play thru Desert Fox you should get your hands into Watchtower, then, after these, go ahead to Operation Barbarossa, first months of it; *Lost Victories*. Reality is that we had Best designers available making it, some of the guys we wanted never did involve due too real life, Some of the best even died during the creation of LV. This project has begun 11 months ago and none of us have had time to play SPwaw as we have thought, our efforts have gone to LV. Despite of what is coming as 'new', Lost Victories is sort of testament for Steel Panthers series. Nobody can take that away. Is this wrong topic? LOL mosh
