Hi folks

Well, I have now moved on to the Rising Sun scenario and am having difficulties loading troops onto transports at Manila. I did a search on this NG and couldn't find an obvious answer to the problem, so thought I'd ask for help. I have some AP and AK ships available (enough to cover transport costs) and form up the TF with no problem. When I go to Load Troops there are none in the list, but lots in the hex. Any ideas?

Troops probably are assigned to a restricted command (such as USAFEE) which means they can only move overland. If you want to move them by ship, you'll have to spend some politcal points to change their command HQ.

Thanks for the reply. Once I knew what to look for I found another thread that listed the restricted HQs for me, and saw them in the FAQ

This is one of the most asked questions in the game, if not THE most asked. It really needs to be made more promenent in the FAQ. Especially since the list of restricted commands is listed under Air Units, not Ground Units. It should have been put under both.

Agreed. And a little more prominent in the manual would be handy as well.
