I understand that there are some bugs in the game. Given that, the full campaign V 1.21 is still fun. My concern is that when this new patch comes out, will it fix my saved games also?

i.e I don't want to spend weeks playing and then the patch comes out and then I have to start over again. (I would have wasted time and arguments with my wife about my addiction)

As this game is time based, fixes will generally prevent the problem from happening again but can not go into the past to correct problems that have already happened.

OOB changes are only picked up once, when the game is first started.

As to you wanting to restart to get the benefit of the changes or not, that is entirely up to you. At no time will you ever be forced to do so.

Also keep in mind, you can have multiple versions of the game installed with and without patch to be able to continue running old games without interruption and also be able to start new games with all the fixes in play.

If the fix is executable driven then it will fix your game from the point the patch is applied but any damage/issues/anomalies already done PRIOR to the patch will still be there and could still have a ripple effect further along in your game.

Any OOB/database driven changes and fixes will not fix your current game and will not apply until a new game is started.

In order to get the most out of any patch it is best to start a new game.

Dang Frag...
