How much, or how little will be revealed about enemy forces? If an enemy fleet is spotted, will an icon simply depicting "a fleet" appear? I feel, fog-of-war is critical to a game like this. Detailed reports about the number of enemy ships, classes, speed, and course-heading are essential. Inaccuracies should be frequent! Will UV model wildly inaccurate intel? Will UV use the 'spotting' unit's experience to influence intel?

Can't say for sure yet how we're going to end up displaying enemy info. Ideally we'll have a choice of a full intel option and a fog of war option that will sufficiently scramble the info available to the player. Currently the game scrambles some info and not others but we haven't locked down anything in this area. Currently the system uses a detection level value for all units which allows player's to increase their exact knowledge about an enemy unit/base/TF as they continue to discover more about it (or lose info about it as time passes). Many factors go into adjusting the detection level of an enemy unit including the capabilities of the spotting units. The higher a unit's detection level, the easier to find and successfully attack the target. The bottom line is that intel will play a huge role in the game as it has in many of Gary's previous games. Wildly inaccurate reports of enemy troop or fleet movements would be very interesting. Of course, information should be under & over-exaggerated in a wide spectrum: both in numbers and types of vessels/aircraft and for ground troops as well. Inaccurate info should become clearer over 'small' windows of time. Example: Spotting 4 enemy CVs should draw alot of attention--and over 12-72 hours that intel becomes an accurate report of 1CVL & 3CA. I'm not talking about riddling the game with "phantom" planes, ships and men; but some intel reports should be completely off the wall!
