I am planning on purchasing War in the Pacific in the next few days, but I have one question. I am going to go the digital download route, but I do not want to purchase the backup cd. What I want to do is burn my own back up cd incase I have to reinstall the game later down the road. So I am wondering if this is possible and if anyone has done this.

Yes, that is exactly what DD is for ... you just burn the file you download onto your own CD

Yep, but I used a DVD and I keep the patches on it too ... something to be said for DVD-RW drives

I did this, and have had to reinstall the game using my CD. Works fine.
