What made the original game playable was a full addendum to the supplied manual by Computer Gaming World Magazine (which I still have). To make this game fly, please ensure all keys and commands are include in the documentation, and one or two extensive training tutorials are provided that review all aspects of the game. When it's reviewed by the various game magazines, if they are unable to get 'things' to work, then it will be reviewed poorly and the game will flop.

Even better, have the play testers review the documentation. If it's going onto PDF files and CDs, they should be able to determine how complete it is, and if there are any omissions or oversights.

Glad to know someone still has those CGW issues, great help they were indeed. As for reviews... the gaming industry is much like the film industry, many reviewers praised Pearl Harbour as a great film, but anyone who has some taste knows it was simply tragic (except the battle of Britain scene)... I presume Uncommon Valour will get praised for lovely graphics and easy user interface, but few will understand the true depth of the game and what it represents to a grognard. (I'm sure though that some grognards will get to review it too)
But even if the reviews are not spectacular grognards will buy this game, because there are so few games of this standard and none (recent) of such depth.

The Beta Testers were give the manual to review before we got the game. They probably knew we would spend most of our time playing..hmm testing if we got the game first. A few of the testers have really done a extensive review of the manual (all 114 pages). The manual contains tutorials, tables, screen captures, tips and a glossary to name some. Rick

I know betatesters have all been picked already... but can I get a manual for review? I'll review it inside out, write a full analysis, post thousand posts, travel abroad to spread the news of Uncommon Valour coming, I'll make my wife set Uncommon Valour wallpaper on her comp... I'll even watch Pearl Harbour again if you tell me to.
