ORIGINAL: pahom I was wondering if there is a breakdown of the statistics for each type of unit? I am loving this game and curious about specific strengths and weaknesses of the units. Thanks The battle system is built to allow quite a number of difference configurations for troops. Their amour level, weapon type, training level, initiative, morale and number of remaining stands all make quite a difference for how they perform on the battle field. Commander attributes such as tactical genius or heroic also have an influence. For example, if I have an elite, heavy armoured infantry unit with 4 stands, he is going to be a killer (see Memnon in the battle of Granicus.) His elite and heavy armour will give him tremendos bonuses to both hit and defend. By having 4 stands, he will get 4 dice rolls. After losing 500 troops, he will still receive 3 dice rolls. Compare this with Alexander who is an elite, heavy armoured cavalry unit. With 2 stands, he is still a killer and his cavalry can move faster than infrantry units. (He will also have an extremely low initiative meaning he gets to move first!) At full strength, he will also get 4 dice rolls (2 per stand), but he will only get 2 dice rolls after sustaining 500 troop losses. Head to head, Memnon will destory Alexander. Hopefully this is the sort of thing you mean when talking about statistics and weakness/strengths for each unit. Deride
