Matrix Games At International SPIEL 2004! Previews, Demos, Full Line of Games... Be There!

Staten Island, NY, October 20h, 2004 - Matrix Games (www.matrixgames.com) has crossed the Atlantic to be present at the International Spieltage (SPIEL) 2004 (http://www.merz-verlag.com/spiel/e000.php4) this year in Essen, Germany from October 21st through October 24th. We will be attending as exhibitors and you can find us in Hall 6, Booth 140 in the Messe Essen. An amazing line-up of our new games, demos and previews will be available for gamers to enjoy.

The International Spieltage in Essen can look back on an impressive history. Over the years it has continuously grown and set new standards. With 150,000 visitors, hundreds of press, radio and TV journalists and 612 exhibitors from 21 nations showing their products on a 38,750 square meter exhibition space, SPIEL is unique among gaming conventions.

If you’re going to be there, you won’t want to miss us! We’re looking forward to meeting you, hearing your suggestions, discussing great moments in gaming and showing you what we have in the works for the rest of 2004 and what’s coming up in 2005! Of course, we will also have our full line of games in stock at our booth, including just released titles and will be happy to help you complete your collection.

Appearing at the International Spieltage 2004 for the first time at any convention will be Tin Soldiers: Alexander the Great and Battles In Normandy, our two newest releases!

On hand from Matrix Games to discuss any and all of our projects and answer your questions will be Ron Duquesnel, Erik Rutins, Marc Schwanebeck and Shaun Wallace.

We hope you will stop by if you are attending SPIEL 2004 or ask one of your friends who is to drop in and see what we have to show. It’s a great opportunity for our European customers to meet us in person and see what Matrix Games is working on and what we have in store.

Hey guys,

I've been to the SPIEL04 on saturday - and by chance - stumbled upon your booth. I was walking by when I saw the "World At War" preview on the screen. I came a little closer because I was wondering what that game was all about - then someone of your team approached me (Shaun Wallace?) and asked wether I had any questions and explained to me what your games are all about.

Since then I've been totally excited because this is what I have been looking for for a looooong time. I thought good turn based strategy games have gone extinct. And then I found your booth and your games!!! Just Awesome!

Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone at the booth for taking their time to answer all my questions and explain the games to me, I had a great time! When I get home I'll check out the games and download some - so thanks again!

Hi Manteuffel,

Was great meeting everyone at Essen and we met a great many people very interested in the games.

I hope that we helped raise awareness of what Matrix is doing for many people.

Have to say, loved Germany, long time since I had been there ;)

For me as well it was pure luck to meet you in Essen, I didn`t know about your presence there before. After buying WitP and playing it for some hours, I learned that turn based strategy sometimes is much more RTS than ever expected: one year in the campaign might last for one year in real live...

!!! Great game so far and I hope I`ll meet you again next year with more fantastic games. My online order of Steel Panthers Generals Ed. will ensure that I won`t need much more other games until we hopefully will meet again next October
