Grrrr, my game crashes when I am giving orders to my units, I have tried to reinstall the game, with and without the last patch, it still crashes

My computer:
Intel 2.2 GHz, 1024 MB RAM, GeForce 3 TI500, some 100GB free space on the harddrive.

have you tried naming the sound directory to NOSOUND?
