Status: offline 		Did a quick search and read the relevant part of the manual. Still I have to ask which of these units can assault?
UNIT_________MY GUESS
rifleman_______yes
engineer______ yes
sniper_________yes like a mofo
alpine troop____no?
motorcycle_____yes?
cavalry________no?
crew__________no
machinegun_____no?
mortar________no?

If you can think of any other fuzzy units post them up here so we can get a definitive list.

engineer______ yes -correct
sniper_________yes like a mofo -really correct
alpine troop____no? ski troops suck-correct
motorcycle_____yes? -IIRC, they can
cavalry________no? IIRC, they can
crew__________no- happens sometimes
machinegun_____no? -correct
mortar________no? -correct

Scouts can assault also, as can your A0 unit.

Status: offline 		Cavalry can assault. Just tested it out. Just happens that in my current game mine don't want to.

can ski troops really assault?
All mine did was shoot alot, never assaulted ...

edit: nevermind, read that wrong.. guess Goblin confirmed that they don't assault.

They can be useful in BEACH landings.
