Retreating down the Malay peninsula in December, 1941. I want to send a bunch of my boys to defend Mersing (sp? ngh -- the base just east of Johore at the tip of the peninsula). I order people to march there. Next turn, I check back and they remain in Johore, have their future objective set back to Johore, and have planned for one turn. I set some guys retreating down the peninsula to march there, next turn they too, are set to go to Johore. A couple of guys get attacked on the way back from Kuantan and retreat to the Mersing hex. Ah, I say, OK, I'll have them stay and defend the place. No luck, next turn they're set to march to Johore. So I give up, transfer out the planes I had left there (luckily one of the retreaters was an air force base force and while passing through he fixed up the damaged planes) and give the place up. I wonder if the Japs can go there? (playing against the AI, using v. 1.30).
