This has gotten so ridiculous i ve spent the 100$ i d saved for this on less vaporware-ish software...and some xmas presents.

Do you guys realise the 30 or so people who will buy this game are getting fed up?

A MP bug??? sounds more like an excuse to delay the release of a finished product.

What s the real scoop? Matrix holding off for after Xmas? Non eastern Front/Normandy games don t sell well in decembre?

I ve been wanting this since that awesome WW3 game on C64 (forget the name??)but now i m so fed up i ve moved on. We ll see how the game does in reviews now, it certainly won t be the impulse pavlovian purchase it would ve been a few months ago.

Who cares? Ie. why do you think readers of this board would be interested in any way you spent your 100$? At least you could've told us what did you buy as Xmas presents and which games you consider less vaporwareish. Not that it would make your post more on topic, but slightly more interesting - yes.

We realise you're fed up, or pretend to be, and that from your first post here. Mind your manners.

Why do you think anyone with a gram of brain would want to delay the release of finished product?

Well, there are certain pavlovian nuances in your post, if not purchase...

O.

I'm sorry to hear about your frustration with the delays in delivering this product. It certainly is by choice that it is held up. When we went after the final check we identified a few bugs that had escaped notice. They had to be fixed. Otherwise your post would be complaining about the buggy software Matrix is selling. The push is/has been on since Maurice announced it here progress report and we have been pushing. And there has been at least one hurry up note in the development forum about this so the idea that it is being delayed is not true.

You do have to admit that your comments can be taken as confrontational even if it is only your frustration speaking. There are a few things you said that could be seen as accusations of intentionally doing something to prevent the release of the game and those of us that are working hard at it can understandably respond in an equally frustrated manner to your impatience.

I don't know the release date. I do know it isn't vapourware, and isn't being held up for marketing reasons. In fact, I think it is progressing nicely into a more polished piece of software to lessen your post-purchase frustrations...

I also know that really doesn't help now.

How does both the customer and Matrix win in this situation when a game is delayed for good reason?

Me aggressive? Compared to your first post? I just responded in similar manner.

I would not find your post aggressive at all if it wasn't your first on this board. I mean, it's not like you came here 10x weekly asking questions about FPG and then you suddenly exploded after noone gave you any decent answer, and Matrix people treated you with contempt. You just came here and exploded in your first post, ever. With no reason whatsoever other than software X is not out on date Y, but will be on date Z.

As for the game, I am not Matrix spokesperson, but just casually browsing on this board you'll find quite enough reasons why the game is not released yet, what state it's currently in, and how it will be once it's released (which should be very soon, for all I know).

Patience... I think you will want this game once it's released, and once your anger blows off.

O.

sorry if my first post seemed aggressive and confrotational but i have been trolling these forums for quiet a while and have handed well over 500$ to Matrix over the past little while... felt i was entitled to an opinion...

my rant was for the benefit of the developpers/publishers, in some cultures feedback from customers is very valued. negative or positive.

i was just indicating that the money had been spent on a TAO upgrade instead of a game that was supposed to be out months ago. I find it very disapointing that a company who charges so much for their games can t throw some money and get a product out? Is it going to be the same for FPG patches? unless you re telling we re going to have the first patchless game ever?

just my two cents for the benefit of Matrix.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and free to post it for others to read. I am sure the rant will be read. Unfortunately I don't think throwing money at this point would make it go faster. It takes time to work things out. And no; although I think Rob is an excellent programmer I don't think it will be patchless. But if the game comes out and it is found to have minor flaws it is still better in my opinion than one that comes out with a major flaw.

I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it once it is available.

There is no-one more frustrated than the developers and the publishers.

The developer wants this game finished and out there so he can read how you are enjoying it (and I'm certain, if you dig WWIII, that you will).

The publisher wants it out there so they can pick up the benefits of the developers hard work.

I want it out there so you can enjoy it....

In short, no-one is holding this game back for any "dark" reason.

I hope you don't deny yourself this great game.
