Sir,
I am interested in downloading the 3d shipart to use, but I was waiting until you finished them all, just so I don't have an awkward mixture on the combat screenie. How close are you to getting them all done?

Also, do these 3d models work with all of the major mods on Spooky's site? I assume that they will if the database numbers match up correctly, but I don't know which mods change that stuff around.

In answer to amount of time I think there are over 500 class's of ships in game
I've done about 170 in 3 weeks if I keep going at same rate should finish in about 2 months +
I am using both and you get used to it I wouldn't wait

And yes they should/will work in most mods found at Spookies except where new class of ship is added to game by mod the graphic would be in original format or as in TankerAces
mod where refits changes ships graphic

WPO I think All ships in game will be replaced with 1920-30 version and other ships that are not in WITP
TankerAce is also correct I am only changing the SHIPSIDE_TRANSP art as there is no point
in changing the SHIPSIDE art (confusing is it not)
No one Rule before useing any Mod ART/Sound MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL ART AND SOUND DIRS so that you have a fall back posistion if fact copy all of WITP to another drive (I have 4 versions for testing) create new Icon and run it will work then test mods
in that one

Your Taiho is a Shokaku. Your Unryu has her island on the wrong side. Shinano too. I guess you have to flip a lot of these images to get them all pointing the right way....

And there's a UFO about to land on Unryu! or is it Mothra? where's Godzilla when you need him?!

Thanks for the answer.. take your time. Don't burn yourself out!

It's too late for me to backup original files.. there's just too many good things on Spooky's! It's a good thing I opted for CD-on-demand!

The pink was not just bleeding though, the entire rectangle was visable on the surface combat screen with the Dutch PT boats, big pink rectangles. In other words, it wasn't transparent like it is supposed to be.

I was wondering CobraAUS if you could email me your updates, cause spooky only has vol 7 on your site, and you seem to be on vol 9 or something.

My email is christhurmond@yahoo.com

Thanks

with you telling that some carriers had the island on wrong side I did check to see if flipping the models I am working on created that affect - did nor think that was possible and its not so I checked serveral other models from dif companies to see if they had got it wrong in first place all had islands on same side as reflected in my ships It will not difficult to correct if you are correct

I will double check the Taiho - checked out I have another model will recreate

In that case if you have another drive apart from one WITP is installed on reinstall again
on that drive back up required dir's then del install this will not effect original install

Vol 7 is the latest you may be thinking of the sample screen panels which is up to 17
I try to send 20 to 30 new ships to spookies at one time the sample panels may be 2 to 3 days ahead of a new Vol to be sent to spookie

I will fix the PT to day it is most probely caused by and overall recolour of the panel I have used same on other ships so let me Know if same problem exists in other ships and I will find differant way to do + what is you e-Mail I can mail the Vol's to You same Time as Spookie

Of all the carriers there have ever been in all the fleets of the world, only two had portside islands: Akagi and Hiryu.

thanks mate - cant you give more details on ship below looks like DE or PG
title is M261

In case nobody has told you yet - that´s a German Minesweeper Type 1940 (M-Boot 1940). They were coal-burners. About 50 of them were actually built by Dutch shipyards. The gun at the stern is a 105 mm submarine mount, the same that was used on the Type IX U-Boats.

Hey, what are the symbols in the top right corners of the Zuiho CV and the Furutaka CA?

UFO's? UAV's? Picnic tables?

Also I'm curious why you picked that model for the Zuiho, being at a different angle than the other carriers?

What I like about the others is that it gives a better impression of the ships getting dive bombed from the planes above them.

Hey CobraAUS,

The same pink rectangle problem is also on one of the Jap BB's, starts with a M. I bombed it last night, so I don't remember the exact name, but I tried to go back through the ship classes already done so far, but I do not think that this was a 1st of class BB.

Anyway it starts with a M. If i bomb it again soon, I'll write it down.

Maybe you can find it as you haven't done all the Jap bb's yet it seems.

OK I now know the reason and have a quick fix for any you fine - just looking at graphic will not show problem even in negative has to be seen in game

Hey CobraAUS,

Remake NA '86 refers to North Atlantic '86, made by Gary Grigsby as a modern version of Guadalcanal Battles, which btw is the Great-Great Grandfather to WiTP.

It came out in 1983. I got it in 84 when I was twelve. I loved it.

You can check it out at www.virtualapple.com.

Also check out Guadalcanal Battles to see how far we have come.

Could you check if the CL Mauritius suffers from this as well? (It has pink background in game.)

Also, for new users of this mod it would be nice if vols 1-9 could be compiled to one download.
