What do negative values in the " Used so far " category mean?

I have a "-157 for A54M Claudes " with 350+ in the pool.
also "-123 for G3M Nells " with 200+ in the pool.
and a half dozen others.

I had to stop all production for a while as I had been running
out of supply and I know have that stabalised but noticed these
negative values increasing.

If you upgrade a unit, the old aircraft get credited back to the pool. If you have credited more back than have been used, you get a negative number.

I could have sworn long ago that it was commented on by the Betas that a/c would be re-cycled after a certain time. When they were re-cycled the Jap player would get x number of resources for each a/c and the engine placed back in the pool.

I have yet to see any engine placed back in my pool.

Aircraft get recycled, not engines and frames

Then I must have misunderstood. Bummer though. You would think they would yank the engine out before they crush and smelt the a/c frame.
