I dont know about you guys but the holidays brings out the wargamer in me more so than the rest of the season.

Why is this?Do you guys seem to play more wargames during the season to be merry or what?

I think it mite have something to do with the weather?I live on the Ms gulf coast so it doesnt get cold here hardly at all.Maybe I relate the cold with wargames more than the warmer parts of the year.BAttle of the Bulge,The Eastern Front Ya know....cold.

Or maybe its the aticipation of getting new wargames for Christmas so you wann a get in the mood for something new!

And what is Santa bringing all the good wargamers this year?

I will probably end up with the CoD expansion pack and Shellshock Nam 67 for the PS2 as far as WG's and FPS's go!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas guys!

I play wargames 365 days a year. At this particular time I'm jazzed up about Gates of Troy that I got here.

Riverbravo, I usually take Christmas week off, so, yeah, I have more time for gaming, historical research and partying.

Now, you see some of us are different. I have so many wargames I could never play them all in a lifetime. So, I went out and bought mysef $200 worth of new "CLOTHES"!

I'm looking forward to "assaulting" the chicken & dressing (hate turkey), cranberry sause, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, english peas, hot buttered rolls and peeecan pie in a couple of days myself.

Merry Xmas!

To tell you the truth there is not a game I would like to see under the tree this year. The RTS games out there just don't appeal to me,
I have pretty much given up on the shelf games.

I have all three CM titles,HTTR,and Pure Baseball sim thats enough to keep anyone in gamming bliss

Marry Xmas guys

I never seem to have any time for wargames around Christmas They need too long at a stretch, and so I'm more likely to be playing stuff I can drop in and out of around interruptions... Pirates! and Tiger Woods 2005 are pretty good for that. I've still got Half-life 2 and Nexus:The Jupiter Incident that I've hardly looked at yet, so I'll try and fit them in too.

The only person who ever buys me computer games is me (the Mrs tried once - I'd already bought it ). I just have so much stuff as yet unplayed at the moment though, I'll save my money for next years hardware upgrades I think.

Well, it's going to be a "white Christmas" in Bloomington, Indiana thanks to those two storms that dropped about 18 inches of snow on us this week!

I'm also not going to be going anywhere for awhile except to snuggle up in front of a warm monitor, with a hot cup of tea, and a chocolate bar and start learning BIN and the other games I just downloaded.

School's out till January 10th... plenty of free time. Life is pretty good at the moment!

Merry Christmas to ALL!

Same here. To me the recent releases this year have been rather mundane.

The games I wanted to see arrive never arrived (CL hint..hint).

No new SB titles. Though my wargaming year was made good by the discovery of this series. May it live long etc etc. Eagle Strike will be under the tree. The rest will be books.

Happy Xmas to you all.
