The aircraft pool says over 100 have been used but only 36 are on the map. None have been lost. What is using up all of these aircraft?

Do you have any reinforcing air groups that are filling out?

Yes, but they still haven't appeared. Now there are over 100 Zekes unaccounted for.

What I mean is this....groups that are scheduled to appear with A6M5's in the future are drawing on the replacement pool to fill their ranks. That is where they are going in all probability. Have you been looking at the size of these units to check if they are accumulating A/C?

Its possible but how can I know until they arrive? I thought air reinforcements would only used aircraft on the turn they were set to appear. Sucking them up several weeks early seems like an odd decision.

I'm interested to know more details too. I've got 44 Helens in the pool and a reinforcement group of 36 was supposed to have arrived a week ago. Nothing. I assume it's "filling out" in WiTP Limbo. Is there anywhere I can see these groups? Does the pool have to have extra planes before the new group will draw planes?

I think air groups appear in the game already formed up regardless of aircraft availability. I got US CVL with Hellcats and Helldivers long before their time. Now if you accelerate Jap CVs you’ll get them with A6M5s and Judies long before their time. Supposedly they have to fill with present Navy Fighters and dive bombers, but… This is especially frustrating for Jap player cause one of the ways to win the game is to accelerate CVs, and you’ll get them with air groups with non-existing aircrafts (read no replacements), which will render them useless. I put carrier capable groups on them, instead of stock ones, resulting in high OP losses. O, well.

Hi, I think the least of Japans worries is not having replacements for carrier groups late in the war. Let me explain.

Carrier arrives early with advance AC types (but full size groups) now even if CV (or group only) survives the first use the groups will require rebuilding. The CV would not have been using these groups in 2nd battle. Japan has groups it can use instead and will likely have surplus CV groups from lost/damaged CV to exchange. It is still a bonus to have the advanced AC types for at least that first battle.

OK, I will send you a file soon. I'm past 150 missing Zekes and they still haven't appeared. Do you want a save file or do you want the turn to run? Do you need the password.

Please fix this I do not want to lose this great game. We are almost to November 43, way to long to lose a great game. These bugs are starting to get on my nerves.

It has been 4 turns (8 days) and none still have showed up. I'm now due over 200 Zekes. I need all those groups with 60 experience pilots!

Hi, Is this a mod scenario or a matrix scenario. If a mod can you send me the scenario files?

Hi, OK can that idea. I have several PBEM started with 1.21 now running 1.40 but they are far behind yours. I don't think you want to wait for me to catch up.
Just fishing

If we understood better the technical details on how the aircraft reinforcements routine worked, it would be a lot faster in figuring out what is going on here. Here are some theories on what could be happening:

1. Unformed Zero groups are sucking up all the aircraft beforehand in a slapdash fashion. I think this is unlikely because I've never seen this kind of behavior with other aircraft reinforcements. Usually the pool of aircraft grows to say 27, then a Zero group will form up and appear with those aircraft.

2. Something is wrong in the code with transitioning from A6M2 to the A6M5. Not likely as this has never been reported before. Though few have made it this so far so the chances of something slipping through the cracks are higher.

3. A bug is occuring where some phantom unit keeps sucking up the new A6M5s over and over. The unit takes the Zekes from the pool but doesn't add them to some unknown air group. The vicious cycle occurs where the Zekes keep disappearing into thin air.

I have the problem early in a mod scenario (Dec). A Helen squadron due to arrive 7 days ago has never showed up. The pool has plenty of aircraft and none have been used.

UPDATE: Ignore this. It grabbed Sallys instead of Helens.

Can not be a mod problem. I have yet to lose produced a/c or reinforcements using Lemurs mod. And everyone here knows by now that it is all I will play and have been playing it extensively since first release.

I have the original Lemurs, 3.1 beta, 4.0 and his secret never released version.

That is exactly what happened to me some monthes ago.
Remember the post : "A6M2s vanishing in a blackhole "

Today (june 43 in my campaign), I've lost about 2000 zeros in this blackhole...
