How do you buy new core units in the course of a long ww2 solo campaign? not the Mega-campaign the other "ww2 campaign" from 1939-1945 in SPWaW. Between each scenario I can upgrade units but I cant buy anymore core units (upgrading costs mucho money).

BTW, this game rocks. :)

Oh yeah, "1/2 EASY, NORMAL, *2 DIFFICULT" in the campaign scenarios each time I get a new map im given a choice, if Im at *2 difficulty do I get more prestige points for winning the map?

you can't buy new units. buy a few cheap trucks at the begining and upgrade them later.

No more core after you start. You have to buy your origanal core with upgrade in mind. If you buy a lot of the supedr stuff that is expensive you will have a small core thru the whole campaign. Buy units to upgrade to like units are you lose there ability points if you change. Say an infantry unit to a tank doesnt work well.

Although I'm not sure, you might be able to edit the saved files to give you new units. That's not really 'buying' new core units though.

Ah poop, back to Poland again. This is the 5th time I started over again :P

Hey do you get the same amount of upgrade points (prestige points?) if the map is easy, normal, or difficult?

You sound like me and Italy. Playing Italy (or Poland) is kind of like going back to an old girlfriend. Things are good at first...but in the back of your mind you know you'll get kicked in the pants in the end.

I think it has more to do with the type of battle, i.e. you get more for surviving a successful assault. Or it might be the other way around. Someone else more experienced than I will have to comment. Also, I think that at certain points during the long campaign, such as half way through, you get extra points. I think. Anyone else? Anyone? Bueller?

OK--you score points based on the enemy's experience/morale points in units killed, as well as the VHs controlled. The formula is somewhat buggy, but this is the way it's SUPPOSED to work. These victory points (theoretically) determine the upgrade points you have before the next mission.

SO, with settings on "hard", the AI gets more experience/morale, and your VPs will be higher for units killed.

I did a test once in reference to points awarded per battle. My Russians surrendered three battles in a row on turn one without so much as firing a shot and I still got hundreds of replacement points each time. The only down side was that the unit morale goes into the crapper. The advantages in a victory are that you get better morale, more experience and the knowledge that you whacked a lot of pixilated bad guys.
