ORIGINAL: Mr.Frag Towards isn't alway towards ... Think of a hex grid where your unit has 1 enemy in each of the 3 hexes sw, s, se, and the base is 2 hexes s ... to get to the base, the unit traces it's supply nw then sw then sw to get around the enemy unit. As long as you are fairly close to a base, it is possible to trace a pretty radical supply path. OK - figure this out then: My base unit is at Cagayan base. I am recalling this from some weeks ago but I think this is it. No other enemy units around excpt at Butuan. All other bases on Mindanao taken except Zamboanga. The enemy lands at Cagayan (and may have moved from Butuan also) - eventually push out my base force. Now, there is a road running towards Zamboanga and one running south. No enemy units have been on these roads. My base unit is pushed out - but instead of retreating to 41,59 towards Zamboanga, it "retreats towards Zamboanga" but goes to 42,60. Since Cotabato has been occupied, there can be no weird ZOC in 41,59 or that would cut off all supply and the unit would have been eliminated instead. So why would it go to 42,60? Now i have been trying to move back to 41,59 for the last 40 moves or so.
