Status: offline 		Nostalgia and reminissing are wonderful things, I was just thinking of some old games by SSI I think I'd like to see remade into update versions with better AI and (eyecandy). heh

I'm just gonna list a few games off the top of my head.

1) Roadwar 2000 (a great post holocaust rpg/tactical wargame (car wars style))
2) War of the Lance (best fantasy wargame I ever played would be hard to improve this ai)
3) Computer Ambush (with more random maps)
4) Questron (one of the most fun rpgs I ever played)
5) Battles of Napolean (I think someone is doing this one already)
6) Knights in the Desert (where's all the WWII desert warfare games?(this was also my first ever computer wargame, the reason I bought a computer, came on a CASSETTE TAPE)

I'm sure there are many more, but, I'm too lazy to get my commodore 64 game list out right now. So, I'll leave it to the rest of you to add more or make comments on my choices.

I remember the Last Ninja, I suked at that game, I did much better with Moebius and Windwalker by Sierra I think it were. I just kept using that knee kick and won most everytime. heh

It will never happen,but i would like to think that they above anyone else could,and would, do this game justice.

I'll just continue to live in my fantasyland until that day arrives.unless they would take my lone plea and consider it seriously

Ravinhood for Computer ambush check out Sniper Ambush by Mnemonic games.

I have a feeling Matrix will pick this one up anyway.

If it was as good as the pcgame , it must have been a blast when you could muster enough players.

Maybe you should check out the pctitle, just for nostalgia

Status: offline 		Remake a more complex version of Space MAX ... spend endless hours with that baby trying to get the perfect order to everything. A successful station that runs at a profit should be good training for anyone who wants to get into serious gaming.

Status: offline 		Hi, One of my favorite Beer and Pretzel games was Colonial Conquest. But it was never released for the IBM PC types. I'd like to see a new version that could be played online. That would be a really good game for 6 people online to play.

Status: offline 		X Com !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heck, just take the basic game and re-release it. I can not run the blasted thing with my PC. Either 1 or 2. Worked fine on my old clunker before the motherboard threw sparks.

Battles of Napoleon. I loved the original just like it was. Tried to run it on this PC and can not find the blasted passwords.

Harpoon also gets a vote.

What book do you need for passwords? I know I can find the Blue one becasue I can see it from where I am sitting.

None. Old games are just that.


Some will say "take an old game and use modern technology and software to improve it". But the improvements would be so massive it would not have the look ( new graphics) or the feel ( superior controls) of the old game.


It would be like comparing the Ford Falcon 1980 model with the Ford Falcon 2005 model.

And there was no Ford Escape in 1980 and so there is nocomparison.

I would have to check which one I need. I have everything packed away at the moment though. It is only about 10 words total. They were all on a cheat sheet that came with the disc.

I got my copy of BON from SSI in one of their disc's that they put out way back that had a huge selection of classics. My previous copy was on the big old 5 1/4 floppies. The disc had "sword of Aaragon", and about 10 other old games on it.

I may have to wait until I find out my exact deployment date. I hate to unpack anything to hunt it down right now. Thanks though, I know where to find you.

Edit: I think the passwords came out of the actual rule book and not the OOB/editor book.
