I have a problem with my planes reinforcements.

91 days after disbanding a Daitai (27 A6M2), my reinforcement pannel show that this unit is coming and is "organizing".
My plane pool was empty of zeros, but I produce 185 / month, and I have plenty of Nakajima engines. All my units are set on "No replacement".

We are 8 or 9 turn later now, and my Daitai is still "organizing" (it does not appear anywhere), while my plane pool shows 0 A6M2.
I would have produced between 45 and 60 planes during these turns, largely sufficient to fill my Daitai.

My questions : Where are these planes gone ? Why this Daitai do not appear with the A6M2 that I produce ? Has somebody see the same problem ? Is it a known bug ?

PS: Please excuse my poor English....

The organizing groups will not appear until they get some aircraft.

Since your pool is zero, there are no aircraft available.

As to why your pool is zero, something else must be grabbing aircraft, need to see the save to be able to tell you *what* that something is.

Are there multiple "Organizing" groups?

"Are there multiple "Organizing" groups? "

No, only the F2/3Daitai, in Osaka. Max A/C : 27
Current status : 0 planes, 0 pilots (since at least 8-9 turns, I have lost the old saves).

Currently, I have 2 A6M2 in my pool. Usually it grow each turn with 6 - 8 planes, until a pool of 18 - 20, then it fall down suddenly to 0 - 2 planes.
And I have no squadron arrivals ! All my Fighters squadron are set on "no replacements" !

I really feel that this "organizing Daitai" pump all my new planes for no result....

Do you have the resources and oil to build them? How about the heavy industry?

I am cranking out 204 Zeroes a month with 23 engines in the pool. It is Feb 42. I now have a pool of 143 Zeros. Pilots are another matter.

Maybe you have squadrons that are upgrading from Oscars (or whatever) and eating the A6M2s?

Actually, the OSS developed a 'ZeroMuncher' machine that would sneak out of the jungle and eat new fighter planes that were parked outside the factories.

I found an old turn and I am horrified with what I discovered. In fact, things are worse than I thought :

26/10/1942 ---A6M2 in pool : 12-----Used : 1035-----Rate : 172-----F2/3 Daitai : organizing
10/11/1942 ---A6M2 in pool : 2-----Used : 1139-----Rate : 186-----F2/3 Daitai : organizing

This means that in 14 days, 94 A6M2 were produced in my factories, and all were swallowed in the blackhole + 10 already in the pool.
The F2/3 Daitai stay since 14 days in “organizing” status

I repeat : No other reinforcements during those days, all replacements are off, no upgrades from “Oscars to Zeros”. I have plentyful of HI, Oil and Ressources.

So what is the problem ? Do I miss something ? Thanks for the help (Zeros are quite useful for a japanese player).

Please help me with this problem which is spoiling my campaign !
I think it is a bug which could affect other players.
What do you need to have a look ?
Do you need a save ? How can I send it to you ?

Question

you state the number of Zeros being made and the number "used", you sure all your groups are at full numbers and have not been in combat ?

you might be losing Zeros in combat

I had the same problem with the zeros. It IS a supply situation. My industries produced them like crazy WHEN they had the oil and resources. My problem was compunded when i thought for some reason i wouldnt really need to expand the industry. God was i wrong. I have currently 7 zero groups organizing, and most of my a6m2 groups are at 1/3 strength.

Yes I am sure the Zeros of my replacement pool are not going in other air units : I have few losses each turn, and anyway, all my fighter units are set on "no replacements" (so, they can't get any new planes).

I really think it is a problem created by the "organizing" F2/3 Daitai : it "pump" newly produced zeros every 2/3 turn, but as it is not sufficient to "fill" the unit with 27 planes, it loose any tracks of the pumped planes, and my pool of zeros go down to 0.

Anyway, this thread has been reposted in the support forum by Frank, and I hope a solution will be found (as for me, I'm really disappointed, since I have played more than 6 monthes of gameplay, and don't want to see my campaign ruined !!!)

So I propose Richileau, you send your files to Kid.

To Tophat : “What build are you using?”

Sorry, I don’t understand your question.
I produce big quantities of A6M2s after converting some useless factories
(transport planes, Nates, Ki-36 etc…).
Now, in 11/10/1942 I build about 185 A6M2s / month (about 6 / day).

Until the problem I have described in this thread, I always had enough planes
to replace the losses (trained pilots is the only real problem for Japan in 42).

------------

To Frank : "So I propose Richelieu, you send your files to Kid"

Thank you for the help, I have sent yesterday 2 saves to Kid.
I hope they can find a solution (or at least, what is the problem !)

Gonna have to fix that, won't we?

I use WiTp 1.21
(but I never reinitialized after patching : I play the same campaign since the beginning, only upgrading the game as soon as the patches are released...)

If you started this campaign using 1.0, you may have a corrupted game going. That could account for the "blackhole".

Thats what i'm worried about.......upgrading during the middle of a campaign can cause this error.....I am currently in a pbem game and we upgraded from 1.10 to 1.21! I have informed my partner to lookout for this problem and i'm hoping we won't need to restart!

I am afraid you could be right...
I thought that it was possible to upgrade without restarting.... Playing a several year games (4 x 365 turns ? more ?) is somewhat difficult... If we have to restrat every 3 monthes, I don't see when a complete campaign could be finished !
Really, I hope I will not have to restart, or I'll really be worried...

Fair enough, sorry, I aint got a clue how to help or what is going on, does smell bug though, give you that.
Big thread isnt it
There is going to be a lot of screaming when we all get that far if it is a game wide problem.

Pity, just as I thought Japan was toast too.

It's a mystery. Hopefully it's only a corrupt file and not something that will effect too many other games. Also, the Betties upgraded fine about the same time so it is only limited to Zekes and Zeros so far.

Pilots come into the game with some level of experience. If you are Japan, the level gets lower as the game goes by. If you are the Allies, it is the opposite. Pilots gain experience from performing missions and can also train if there is nothing else to do.

You can accelarate or stop the production of ships. You can't add any new types of ships not already in the list however.
