Hello,

I have several questions...

First, but maybe it's me that have not well understand that. By exemple i have selected two units in the same location (select stack option), and have given an order of assault, the UDP give me the ETA for the destination, and if i open the waypoint editor the ETA is also the same that displayed in the UPD windows. But in the next turn, if i open the waypoint editor the ETA is not the same, that the ETA displayed on the UDP windows...so why ?
(same if no event arrived has my units during the preceding turn.)
BTW, the selected units arrives always at the ETA displayed in the UDP.

Second when i order several units to rest & refit, sometimes the UDP show after several turns ( i play with 15mn by turn) that my unit has always "a no ammo status", and if i select the info key, to choose the ammo status the icon of my unit on the chart shows that in fact my unit remakes the full one with ammunition.

here is a screen:

Does this information update if you ask the unit to report in? Info shown in the UDP represents last known info given to command. If the unit hasn't reported in a couple of hours, their situation may be very different than what you know. Choosing report as an order will instantly update all that info. What does that do to your UDP displays?

Not sure about the first question, but one of the things which affect supply, I believe, is the proximity to an HQ unit. I'm unsure whether it's the "organic" HQ, or any HQ...but definitely this affects, at the very least, the rate of supply.

Belphegor, you are right, i have reloaded this scenario, and after this, i ask my unit to report in, the UDP has been updated. Just one thing, to be honest i have until now, never ask this order, like the other status; number of runners, morale, and health status are automatically given i think in the UDP. Moreover like report in is an order, if i play with the "Limited Staff rule in effect", so is the "i" key for info should show the status of my unit in agreement of the last report made by my unit, or is the "i" key can be considered as a "cheat key", because same if i does not make any report order, she always display the true information ?

BTW, i always try to leave my "organic" HQ near his own units, especially when i ask a rest & refit order. But maybe it's in the doc (i did not read it yet entirely), but is there a means, for knowing the rate of supply; i think that if an HQ is just at one "square" of one of his unit, it one needs a half hour, to remake the full one with ammunition.

For my first question, maybe it's my "poor english" but i noticed when in one turn you give an order of move for a particular unit, the ETA displayed is the same in the UDP and in the waypoint editor. But in the next turn, the ETA displayed remain the same in the UDP, but was increased in the waypoint editor.
ex: Turn 01 ETA UDP & WE is 1245 hrs and in turn 02 the ETA UDP is 12h45 and in the WE 12h57.
In fact i have noticed that the unit arrive at his destination at the ETA displayed in the UDP, if I take again my example, it's 1245.

Again, reagrding supply, there are other factors involved with supply, I think...I just pointed out proximity of HQ as an obvious one...Rob will know more and he pops in from time to time.

If I don't see a satisfactory anwer to your info request, I'll try to find out more.

Thank you, Kelm, for the observation about the "I" information key.

Problem 1. I have read your description several times and think I have worked out what the problem seems to be but now I am not sure there is an easy fix! The UDP estimate and the waypoint editor estimated ETA are the products of two different calculations. I know I should show only one or the other so that it is consistent, but this will taking some carefully thinking to make it happen! It's on the list now though.

Problem 2. The rest and refit not 'refreshing' the Situation Report. As JudgeDredd pointed out, if your reporting interval is long then the unit may not have reported it's state back to you since it completed resupply. There is a time shown on the UDP - in your case "Last SietRep at 1320 hrs" which you need to compare to the current game time and the reporting interval of the unit in question to see if there is a genuine problem or if it simply hasn't reported in yet but will.

Thanks, Rob.

I do think the HQ proximity works here as well at least for orders delay time getting to the unit. Not sure how fast rest and refit (actually resupplying) goes depending on proximity to HQ.
