"missing" resolution phases - 2/8/2005 4:59:08 PM

It seems that at random times in both PBEM games and single player, the following will begin:

I will go thru an orders phase.
I will get the signal that the resolution phase is ready: for example, 1700 hrs to 1730 hrs
when I click "proceed" nothing happens and I return to the orders phase. I can now give new orders (thus doubling the amount of orders under ' limited orders' )
then I press "proceed" ...again
and the resolution phases for 1700 to 1730 begins

I am not losing any turns or times. It is just annoying and it gives a player a chance to make double the amount of orders in a pbem (should he choose to)

is this a bug?

I'll bump this because I encountered this anomaly in one of the British scenarios. I believe it was the next to last one. The scenario where you start off with some chewed up units in a small area you have to defend before armor assets begin to show up. Haven't seen it in the previous British scenarios or in the first two US scenarios.

Its not a show-stopper, but I want to make sure this is addressed in the patch.

Catgh just alerted me - thanks!

I have never encountered this particular glitch before but I will look into it asap. If possible, could anyone who has experienced this problem look in the root game directory for a file named "fpg_report.txt", zip it up and post it here if it exists? It might help me isolate the problem a great deal faster.

Much appreciated, cheers, Rob.

Rob,

I am currently playing a PBEM game now where this is happening every other turn. I "uploaded" the file for you. Hope this works.

And uploading. Happened sometimes in this game, but not always.

This is happening to me in 2 games so far in PBEM. I'm sure Mike has already sent you the one he and I are playing together. The next time it happens in my other game I'll get you the Report.txt

Ok, here is the report on a no-time turn (orders given, sent to foe, returned, no time has passed but I can give orders again)

This phenomenon happens in hot-seat games as well. As long as both players hit the "End Turn" button during their "second orders phase", no harm is done.

It just happened to me in a game with wroger. I'd like to know how I lost those vehicles before I go any further.

On top of the every other turn problem of these "skip" turns, I've noticed that the enemy "seen" changes in between. As if the game recalculates your chance to see a target even though no time has passed.

ok, this is getting really old. I have 2 games going with every other turn being useless. If they AI isn't that good and PBEM is flawed, you got a big problem!

I think this is happening with the "Spartans of Noderfurt" scenerio. This is a major pain.

I found the problem quite quickly after my last post. It will be fixed in 1.02
