Hi ya!

Small query regarding core size! While setting up a WW2 '39-'45 campaign (or any campaign for that matter) does my core size determine the size of the force I'll be up against, just curious????

Cheers in advance

Paul

If you originally buy 30 artillery pieces, 15 tanks, and 20 infantry of different variety you will always have upgraded 30 artillery pieces, 15 tanks, and 20 infantry.

Remember that each unit has people to man it that specialize in tank/artillery/infantry. So if you upgrade an Machine gun unit to a TANK unit, it will suffer because the people in that unit originally specialized as Machine gunners (infantry).

A way to get around this is to buy a bunch of cheap trucks at the start (opels for Germans). Truck drivers specialize in tanks, not infantry as you might think. Strange....

And if you get a bunch of trucks dont forget to get them in a formation, dont buy them one at a time, so they at least have a formation leader to reduce suppression.

Kate, do you have a specific nation that you want advice on? Tell us which one you prefer, and we can give you some guidelines for a good combined -arms combat team.

Hiya all!

I'm not sure I was making myself clear!!!

I've been playing SP in it's various forms for years now!!

What I was getting at was whether or not the size of your initial core ( a tank Co, 2 tank Co's or a whole Batt) will have any bearing as to what the AI is going to throw at you.

Say i'm fielding a tank company and an inf company as the Germans '39 campaign, are the Poles going to have a similar outfit or what?
I've not payed too much attention to this until recenlty! As for upgrading and the such buying a fistful of opel blitz is a tried and tested scam ha ha!!!!

If you have the computer purchase points set at XXX, then it is based on the value of your force, yes.

Just a little clarification regarding Goblin's response--the XXX value can be found and changed under your preferences.
