If a new unit is fielded understrength due to lack of armaments, it will expand to full size if/when equipment becomes aviable?

Yes but I think that it'll take supply to expand to full size .. doesn't it ?

that's the problem ...

So tell me about a daily supply in Osaka ... 5 000 points or so .. no, is it impossible in the next patch ? just to help the japanese players ..

BTW, a question : japanese players, where do you take your supply to supply
( sorry .. I don't find better ) your troops in combat missions and on atolls ?

In Toboali. There's a cornucopia (term?) of supply there, just ask Ron.

(Sorry I am referencing to another, mostly useless thread.)

thanks for reply

It's the only supply source ? ( I know, 900 supply a day, it is a big one and a rear one )

Harrer I was only joking, referencing to the other recent thread with complaints from some players that Toboali produces too much supply points.

As for your question, well... I am not sure I understand what's the problem really, you can load supply on your AKs in any base that has surplus supply and haul the supply where it's needed...

There's plenty of supply, it gets made every turn in every HI and resource center. For example, Osaka with 300 Resource centers and 720 HI centers will give 1020 supply per day. Centers in the Home Islands produce nearly 16,000 supply per day, Manchuko/Korea over 5,000, the rest of the area held by Japan on GT1, 4,600. Over 25,000 supply per turn, in addition to the millions of supply that are sitting around. If you are experiencing supply shortages in Japan, it is likely due to you having made a large number of changes to your industrial system. Did you expand armaments factories, naval shipyards, repair shipyards, HI centers, aircraft factories, convert large aircraft or aircraft engine factories from one kind of production to another? Every factory point (of any type) that you create by expansion, and any factory point that you convert from one thing to something else, starts out damaged. A single damaged factory point burns 1000 supply to become undamaged. You need to be careful here.

I mad some, yeah .. the problem is that the supply is never where it has to be .. the supply, ressource, oil and fuel mouvement phase has to bring a min of supply in each base and big stocks in some of them ( Osaka, Tokyo, .. ) .. when I unload supply in a base to repair the damaged points I'll damage, the next turn, the supply is back to Osaka or so .. and I don't have enough HQ to put one in each base .. and idea for the next patch ?

I never need to transport supply around in the Home Islands, it finds its own way to where it is needed. I do put a lot of effort into sending AKs in ones and twos to ports where there is extra supply and then once loaded, consolidating them at a central location for outgoing convoys. Select the location for the Home Island HQ carefully, this is the one tool you have to affect where supply goes by land. 25,000 supply will follow it around (if you have 25,000 supply that is!). Other HQ do not have this effect.

edit: all other command HQs draw supply as well.

I have never noticed that any other type of HQ will draw supplies. All LCUs, particularly aviation support units with air units in the hex, do tend to draw some amount of supplies to them for their own use though.

Another thing that burns supply is filling out all those understrength LCUs that arrive during the first weeks. A unit receiving a replacement point burns an equivalent volume of supply, and while this is never very much for a single replacement, there are so many units and they have so many points to receive and so many bases in range to draw supply from. Can be a drain. You might go through and set some of these units to do not receive replacements.

The thing is, almost every base in the Home Islands is producing supply every day. If you aren't building it up, that's because something is burning it away. You just need to go through and turn some things off. If you have a base with two aircraft factories, and engine factory, an armaments factory, and an HI center all trying to repair damage, that is 5,000 supply potentially burned from this one base per turn, not counting any LCUs in the area that are trying to fill out with replacements. If you have several bases around like this, you will never get any supply accumulated anywhere. Moving supply around is futile if you are burning more than you are making every turn.

Manage the consumption of supply first, and then you will start to see supplies accumulate everywhere. The big test is how many supply you see at the base where the Home Island HQ is. If there is not 25,000 supply there, that is an indication that you have a consumption problem.

According to my experience all HQ do draw supplies (at least the command ones).
For example I moved HQ Burma to Rangoon, the supplies were 7k, the turn after the Burma HQ arrived in Rangoon the supplies were up to 18k.

All Command HQ do draw supply. Sorry, I was being imprecise again. In the same way as the Home Defense command HQ, the Burma Area, China Expedition, Southern Area, Northern Area, Kwangtung Area, 4th Fleet, and Southeast Fleet command HQs will all try to draw 25,000 supplies.
