So, who is doing the air craft art?

Subchaser had done my art, but it seems like Elf is doing quite a bit.

Is there a division of labor? Is Subchaser busy with other things?
I need some finalized art or Don is going to rip my arm off and beat me over the head with it!

Mike

What - a nice guy like me?? The worst one has to fear from me is an example of my vocabulary extensions due to naval service.

Mike,
Right now I am fully occupied with the planetops. I collect and send planeside profile s when I find them and I have many that are available for guys like Subchaser to make use of. I am capable of branching out into other areas, but due to the sheer volume of Allied tops alone, I am limiting my involvement to that. I am gently working back over to the Japanese tops too. When I finally get a look at the new aircraft in the file you sent I will focus efforts there (Just got back into town after a long weekend trip).

In my mind Subchaser has been the one and only planeside artist. No need for anyone else to get involved. But that is just my opinion.

Okay, Subchaser i am sending you all of my aircraft needs, plus maybe 1 or 2 extra. Then, I will give the list to Elf for tops.

Good?

Mike

I'm just wondering why all these ships are traveling so light. You dont usually see those red "waterline markers" or whatever you call them.

The Japanse Cruisers Don needed,

Mogami as converted to a seaplane cruiser (done following damage at Midway)

Takao in 1941. The Stock Matrix graphic showed the Takaos as in 1944, with 'C' turret removed. Here, she is seen in a 1941-42 fit.

As suggested by Ron, here is the first draft of the Georges Averoff, a WWI era Greek Armored Cruiser.

I can't find any references detailing any refits to Averoff after her late 1920s refit. Her is a pic...

Your pic looks fine as it is.

Conway lists her 1925-27 refit and reboilering, and also states:

"She escaped to Alexandria during the German Invasion of Greece and did convoy duty in the Indian Ocean after that. In that time she carried, apart from her and secondary armament: 8-3in, 4-3in AA, 6-37mm". I could not find a 3in Naval Gun so the best I could come up with is:

Actually, if need be I can unclutter the foremast, make it less "sophisticated".

USS Midway.

She isn't to scale as the others (she should actually be 80ft longer than an Essex). Still, I think a good representation, especially with the highlighted gun deck of 5"/54s.

There it is! Good job backwoods boy! Hey, could you not use a frame the size that Subchaser uses and then do it to scale?

I probably could, but then in the surface combat screen (should it ever appear) it would seem to be ramming the ship in front or behind it.

Though perhaps accurate, I find those vertical lines aesthetically unpleasing.

TheElf send me a couple of weeks ago the art of planetop for testing.

For the one working of planeSide (SubChaser ?), do you match top with side to have a coherent look for plane.

It's a little disturbing to see a B17 Forteress in a color where transfering it and see another color on replay.
I have the same problem on original game with A5M4 Claude but it's less disturbing as they are quickly upgarded to Zeros.
