And don't say email support@matrixgames.com. I've done that. Twice. And I've been ignored. Twice.

I've also tried using the mailback feature in the Members Area. Unfortunately, my email address has changed, so the address it's sending my serial number to no longer exists. Well, you say, then why not update the email address for your account? Why, indeed. I'd certainly like to. Unfortunately, to change your email address requires--get this--email confirmation and, as I said, the old email address no longer works. Jesus Christ. Who do they get to design this stuff anyway? Gradeschool dropouts? Who in their right mind is going to demand that an address change be confirmed at an address that, in 90% of cases, will no longer be a working address?

Sorry. I don't mean to be an ass, but I'm pissed off. I can't patch WitP without the serial number, and not only can't I retrieve it myself using their inane software tool, they won't even answer my bloody emails. Fah!

Do you have your order number?...credit card number it was purchased with?

If so, just redownload the game from DR and you will get the current version.

Thanks. No, I'm sure I saved the order number somewhere, but I can't find it. I usually keep a text file on a backup disc for serial numbers, order numbers, and whatnot, but maybe I just spaced this one out; I dunno. Good call on the credit card, though. I think I might know which card it was purchased with. If so, I'll do the redownload thing. Otherwise, I guess I'll wait on customer support, but it's been four days now so I don't hold out much hope. Thanks again.

Umm do hope your issues resolved however on point about email change requiring email confirm, if wasn't there then anyone could just change your email address and you wouldn't know, its a safeguard, its done alot, you join an email list and usually must confirm it through an email sent to that address, otherwise someone hating you and knowing your email could sign you up to umpteen lists..

Properly, one who changes their email should change email accts while the old one still works, I really wouldn't want anyone
to change my email address on me, thats why theres the confirm safeguard, a change would have to be verified by me.

Lots of sites require email confirm on changes..

Where would be better?

I have all my registration stuff save in it's own forlder for all my downloaded software. And I have abstracts printed just in case something happens to my computer (which has happened)
