Does anyone know how to extract and reuse a map from a PBEM game? Had a good random map, but I didn't save it to the maps list...

Open up the save slot in the editor, and save the map to the desired location. Should work.

Its going to depend how you set up the PEBM game. If it was done using the "email" button approach I suppect you have lost the map.

Otherwise try to follows the Goblin's comments.

I haven't tried it, just guessing. May or may not work depending on if the game gets nervous about editing email files, which it should, but....

All email files go through an encryption process so I suspect the random map is lost.

The Goblin admits It can be scared

If youcreate maps using teh "Battle" button in solitare then the saved map can be edited. If its "by email" then as minefield said No GO!
