Well, i've seen in another thread that adding too much experimental units to gerries oob could unbalance the game and throw us into an horrible future (hey, does anyone remembers this fun star trek episode where Captain Kirk and Spock found themselves on a sixties earth where Nazis had won the war in 45 ?). So i heard somewhere that the US developped an experimental super heavy tank in the scale of the Maus. Maybe called the dreadnought, i'm nor sure There were also less than a dozen french tanks heavier than the B1-Bis itself. Could these units be included in the OObs in future patches ? ok, i'm joking, but why not ?

I think that any extra space in OOBs be used for units that affect all OOBs. Perhaps every nation should have a 'mini' ammo dump, or create some new unit types like objective units that grant the killer extra victory points (I'm sure the scen designers would love that one), or mine-laying vehicles, or recon planes that make runs like attack planes but just spot that area (kinda like in the Panzer Campaign series)... who knows. Actually, I think it was the M6 Heavy, but if I'm wrong, someone will say so. It was used in propaganda flicks. I really do think it would be cool to have the option to use things like this, but only if there was a preference switch for historical equipment. In PBEM, you would have to agree beforehand on whether they could be used. The units would have to be flagged somehow, so everyone could tell whether to pick them or not if they wanted to be accurate.

All that really would have to be done is give them units no formations. That way they could only be used when making a scenario by changeing a unit to a deffrent type. [This message has been edited by Drake666 (edited 06-23-2000).] [This message has been edited by Drake666 (edited 06-23-2000).]

Let's add the British Air defence rockets, used as early as 1940 to defend air fields. They were an unguided SAM. And the R-4 Helo, used in the CBI theater. The Lanchester SMG should be a small arms option. troopie
