Think it will be end of this week or the beginning of the next...............

Have had the same thread recently. I think Mike mentioned he´ll be ready within end of this month so I guess it will be available for download in a week or two.

I don't know if that is an attempt to be funny or not. Seems to me a person that has only 7 posts must have giant cajones and a whole lot of gaul for that kind of response to a person who has posted 2798 messages. Not a good way to get any help from other board members when you are crying for it.

Still Freedom of Speech, as Mogami has pointed out some people play a lot and do not post.

Agree with that. Not the kind of post to start with.

I believe Mike Wood stated, somewhere this past weekend, that he sent it to Matrix for their followup.

I just purchased the game and am wondering if 1.5 replaces earlier patches or in addition to 1.3 and 1.4?

Thanks and happy sailing!

Wow. You mean there's a seniority system around here? I'll start posting more junk to get promoted. Congratulations on your exalted status, Freeboy!

By the way, I just heard that Matrix is working with Steam to have the 1.5 download available from them ala Half Life 2. Of course, once you download it, you'll have to be connected to the internet any time you play WitP, but I'm sure there will be benefits as well. Uh, just kidding.

Not quite, he stated he was hard at work on it and getting near to the light at the end of the tunnel.

As far as posting #'s, it doesn't mean a hell of a lot, a question asked by someone new is just as valid as a question asked by someone with 10,000+ posts. BigB does have a point although a smilie would have helped!

It most certainly will get here when it gets here and not any sooner.

I just hadn't seen anything new.. thanks to all for a lovely morning read... and great thanks to MW and FRAg and alll who have nursed this game along to a resectable and very fun game.... not perfect but top of the SUPER class.. if
witp was a ship what would it be?

This was from another thread (posted 3/26/05):

quote:

Hello...

Poor cynical friend. I am working on the patch, even now. Hope to have this one done by Monday. Should be released about the same time as War Plan Orange. Am not sure what the schedule of the production staff is or where the patch will be in the que. Should be a week or so.

Bye...

Michael Wood

So, **IF** it went into the production staff around Monday 28 March (let's say, late), and it takes about a week, i would guesstimate release around Tuesday April 5. Your mileage may vary...

I guess to you free speach justifies rudeness. He can say what he wants, others don't have to assist or help him if they don't want and I don't have to like it if I don't want. I would have given you the same respect had you received that response. How could the original question possibly offended him enough for that kind of remark, whether he has played 24/7 since the game was published. Jeez!!!

imho the # of posts isnt that important - I favor quality instead of quantity.
The quality of the post of the 'not to be named' poster is instead a little bit rude and a smlile would have done alot different.

to ask the original question..... iirc Mike said that it will be released along with WPO.

@ MM3 : you have to check your version of the game. Sometimes , Matrix does comprehesion patches, sometimes they dont. Just wait until 1.5 is released I am sure there will be a readme for this issue ( becasue there has been always a readme in the past on this issue )

Not exactly what I would have called a question. I'm bored with this, case closed.

You mean valid as question asked by - you? I think you're the only person on Matrix boards with more than 10k posts

So here is what really will happen:

Due to our endless nagging 1.5 will come out with this huge change in the air unit upgrades.

2 hours later someone will decide things aren't exactly as they had forseen, and 2 hours 4 minutes later there will be a "when will the 1.6 version, changing air unit upgrades back" thread on the bulletin board.

2 hours later, more like 29 seconds after the first download!

Still would be nice to know just what all they are attacking with v1.5. This details for this particular patch are being kept "close to the chest". Some significant stuff based on the few crumbs that he throws to the ground for us to feed on .....

It's the old game ... what is fixed might not be what you actually thought the problem was. This has bit us multiple times in the past when things got reported fixed yet there were more bugs in the same general area.

It gets to be annoying posting fixes only to find out that what was fixed was actually some other unreported bug

As things get closer, I'll glue together the lists of fixes and post it.

Fair enough ......

And a dead bug is a dead bug, whether it was previously reported or not. Think of it as a form of cost avoidance.

Is he literally near the light or can he just see the light? If the tunnel is straight and level, the light can be seen from quite a distance...
