I have plenty of supplies....Trying to bomb japs in Gili gili from port mosbley airfield size 9. Even my carriers just sit there off the coast and do nothing. But I can bomb airfield and port just not ground forces.

I am in the DFW area.

Let's start with the CVs

Plenty of op points?...plenty of sortie points available?...bombers have fighter escort that can range the target?...what is react range for TF?...have you reconned the target hex?...what is the airbalance rating at target hex?...ranges on fighters set to cover target hex?...bomber ranges set to cover target hex?

These are some of the main things on the checklist...I have had my share of brainfarts.

I have had fighter range set at three hexes from a previous op and the target is four hexes away. Alot of the time, bombers won;t fly without escort. Airbalance rating at target hex gives you a heads up as to CAP over the target. Bombers will forego the mission if it is expected to have alot of enemy CAP.

Just things like that.

Rogue, methinks you've been playing too much WitP! AFAIK, most of the above hasn't been retrofitted to UV as of yet. Or am I missing something?

Timtom is correct. I don't have 2.41 but i don't think there were any changes in the air routines.

Lemme get a UV turn in tonight and I'll see what I find. I have one UV game still going about 3 turns a week.

Try flying some recon sorties too increase your detection levels of the base
this will also allow for more successful attacks on ports and airfields.
make sure you have ground attack set as a secondary target on
your carrier squadrons, also make sure you have the base targeted
with your heavies and you are not flying into thunderstorms...
