Prior to the setbacks of Midway and Stalingrad, the Germans and Japanese had discussed a joint military opperation. Where would this opperation have taken place?

I'll post the answer tomorrow if noone knows it.

Wasn't it the Invasion of India? Maybe it was old wargame scenarios (Sega Saturn Iron Storm, Pacific General, etc) but I seem to remember a plan that the Germans would come in from Africa, or from the Caucasus, and hit India at the same time the Japanese did it from Burma.

That's as close as my thinking takes me.

Did'nt the original Steel Panthers feature a scenario that accounted for this ficticious battle?

Not sure... I didn't get into Steel Panthers until SP3. But I do know Pacific General did. I remember chuckling seeing the German PzKpfw III's with the Japanese meatball nationality icons.

Oh man, PG was fantastic! That was a simplisitc strategy game. Was that the India 1942 scenario your thinking of? I remember every time I played it, I always got chills down my back when you heard Roosevelt's voice say "Day of Infamay." There were some cool battles portrayed in that game.

I'll give it a shot.

There were discusions on having Japanese float planes,i forget what they were called a bigger version of our Catalina's,rendevous with German "milk cow" submarines in the gulf of mexico to conduct continous operations against the west and gulf coasts.Or something along those lines.

True to his name, the absent-minded professor has forgotten to post the answer. I'd say Siberia.

On one of the History Channel programs on WW II, they said that Germany and Japan had discussed a joint invasion of Madagascar. The losses at Midway and Stalingrad scotched this idea.
