today the POW TF intercepted an AK TF, just east of Palenbang. 2 PGs and one AK were sunk for only minimal damage. This success has greatly improved morale in Java However CL Tromp was intercepted by Betties on her way back and sunk Also a daring attack by PT boats out of Soerabaja right in Palenbang ended up with DD Hibiki torpedoed.

Enemy troops capture Batavia, and the nitwits there withdraw to that dinky place west of it, instead of withdrawing south along the railroad

Brigada-san decided to give chase to the forces that, from Batavia, retreated into Merak. Once there he attacked inmediately. This is a serious mistake. Had he moved inland from Batavia along the railroad, those forces would have been cut off, however, the inmediate attack, allowed my forces to retreat into the railroad hex. They would never have made it otherwise.
Also a reminder to everyone. Both carriers "damaged" at Pearl will be available for use on 4/7.
I'm fixing to get ready to open a can of whupp-a$$

Japanese forces land at Cagayan, and establish a base at Tulagi. Meanwhile Dutch fliers are still trying to carry out desperate attacks against the Japanese naval forces.
On the good news side, Enterprise and Lexington are now repaired and ready to go at San Francisco. They shall set out soon to join battle with the evil empire

AAAARRRRRGH. The carriers are now repaired and ready to go. I moved a small fleet of destroyers to San Francisco to escort them out to the field, but the REMF decided to upgrade them all!
