Hey all,
I just want to take a moment and thank all of those servicemen and women who have made it possible for myself and many, many others to enjoy what we have today in the US. Also, I have a question for some of you many grognards out there who could answer this simple question. Here is a picture of a camp Pendelton memorial. Is this not a British soldier being burried there? Why is a British soldier burried there? Follow this http://news.yahoo.com/photos/ss/events/iraq/082701iraqplane/im:/050526/ids_photos_ts/r231905435.jpg

No one is actually buried there ShermanM4. This is a memorial service where British soldiers who were killed tha served in the 1st Marine Division are also being remembered. The caption of the photo gave the clue "

"U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Scott Reichek (L) salutes fellow Marines during a memorial service for the 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton, California May 26, 2005. Some 420 soldiers, sailors, marines and British soldiers serving with the 1st Marine Division were killed in Iraq......"

Gratitude is indeed a good thing. Our nation's veterans along with our servicemen and servicewomen deserve our deepest thanks indeed.

Thanks for remembering ShermanM4.

Hear, hear. We owe a debt that can never be repaid to those in the service, past and present.

Amen! To all those who served, from the Minute Men to the Doughboys to the G.I.s and the troopers of Desert Storm and Desert Shield, and everything in between, my humble thanks.
