I was curious if anyone has played this game? It's a great stress reliever! Nothing is better then putting a full broadside into the enemy and watching their ship sink! It also gets me in the mood to do some serious WITP action! It's still in beta, you can find it at...

I started a thread about it a few month ago.
Link: Old Thread of mine

I actually still play it quite regularly, currently cruising in an Agano and Fubuki, soon Kuma as well. However, I don't think I will continue once they go retail. Its incredibly repetitive = tends to become boring. Esp. when you have to grind up to the higher levels and has some serious design flaws...

The graphic looks nice.

How would you rate it? Is it worth it?

I rated it a 3/5.
As long as it is free, you won't hurt yourself to try it out.
But you must come straight from a WitP session to say the graphics are nice

But don't expect any realistic naval engagements, esp. not in the big battle rooms with up to 128 ships (average for those rooms is ~60). Those battles are mostly dominated by japanese torpedo ships (Fubuki, Shimakaze, Kitakami = torp whores) and various aircraft carriers (incl the Oyodo ). Dive Bombers are deadly snipers but mostly pick bigger ships, torpedo bombers are a joke because of small bad formations.
To overcome the dominating torpedo ships it is possible to create No-Torp rooms. However, those are domintated by british DDs (namely the Q-Class, due to it's small shape also a serious threat in torp.-battles) and CLs with >6" armor (yes, DDs with 6" armor = armor whores)

It is nice to be able to mess around with different configurations, but in the end there are few useful choices for every ship, e.g. my Agano with 3x2x7.9" which is the usual configuration for it in this game. The only other 'realistic' option would be 3x3x6.1"...

Manual is very funny. There are a lot of cool english words such as, "submergence" (meant buoyancy), "bulk head", "Germen" (plural for German) etc. I know that they are Koreans, but still I had some good time reading it.

That's why I don't play MMO anything. It would be cooler to me if it was like single player or PBEM or LAN or anything else.
