The ship loss balance has changed from the end of the year. It changes from 77/79 on Dec 31 to 11/92 on Jan 15.
My next move will be the conquest of Sumatra, Java and Burma. I will send two divisions, two enginers regiments and three tank regiments to Burma.
Two brigades and SNFL units will deal with Sumatra bases with the support of the Mutsu TF and baby KB.
For Java I will use Two divisions, two brigades and some SNLF units with the support of the Kongo TF and LBA from Palembang and Kendari. I'm moving a base force to Kragen to start flying CAP.
KB is back in Rabaul for some refit. I will attack again Tom's back bases. The conquest of PM will start when I will gather enough supplies in Rabaul.
Clark is on hold till the complete refit of my units in Lingayen.

My main targets are now Sumatra and Java. My ships heading Kragen are under heavy air attacks and several are hit.
Laong captured on Jan 13. Chinese troops capture Chenting.
Moulmein captured on Jan 15 with no opposition.
Troops landing at Menado on Jan 17.
The air sea battle of Java is going on. I can't reduce the danger of LBAs. My naval and air bombardments got sevral ships hit in port, but few scores on planes.
Teloekbetoeng captured on Jan19
Jambi captured on Jan 20.
I'm sending two ASW TFs to the area NW of Luzon to protect oil and supply convoys from DEI to Home Islands.
One Oscar group now bases at Kragen gives some protection, but more ships are hit.
I'm moving two divisions and two enginer regiments from Singapore to Java.

One cavalry Div is alone in a hex north of Hsinyang and refuses to withdraw even if attacked at 121 to 1 ratio. WITP mistery......

Jan 26

The cavalry division still refuses to withdraw, today ratio is 371 to 1.

Jan 27

It seems that I can't coordinate my advance to Clark. My troops are repulsed again.
The cavalry division is still refusing to withdraw, new ratio is 1288 to 1.

Jan 28

Rangoon captured with no combat.
The cavalry heroes are resisting one more day: ratio 1052 to 1
Landing one division at Merak.

Jan 29

At last the cavalry heroes managed to self annihilate: ratio 1415 to 1. True Japanese style.
Merak captured.

The Kragen based Oscar squadron improved the situation, but I still have problems with Java allied LBAs. I'm bombing heavily the airbases, but it's taking long to reduce their effectiveness.

I'm moving two divisions four tank regiments and some support units to this area. I didn't meet any resistence so far. I'm planning to reach a line allowing me to control the Burma resource and stop there. I'm going to cut the Burma road also. I have one Zero, one Oscar and one Helen squadron in Moulmein and Rahaeng. I'm going to move more air units to this area from Malaya in the next days.

Java is the most complex situation at the moment. I'm working to reduce Tom's airfields, but he has plane still flying from this island.
I'm supplying and renforcing with one more brigade Kragen. In Merak I have one division and two enginers regiments and I'm going to land the Imperial Guard division in the hex SE of Batavia. I want to capture a big base asap and Batavia could be an easy target.
I hope to complete Java conquest within February.

Probably not any more. Thanks for sharing this information. It is always a reminder that the rear lines are sometimes the front lines.

Sure they are no more in training, but there is something interesting in the following report.

The situation in China is confused, as always happens in my games as Japanese. When I play Allied I'm usually wiped out and it makes the situation very plain.
Tom is controlling Chansha and captured Kaifeng and Chengting. He has big armies in these bases and at the crossroar NW of Kaifeng.
I don't want to loose my troops in a bloody China campaign so, I'm trying a different strategy.
I'm moving small units, mostly Mongolian cavalry and NFSL to cut his supply lines. The units are circled on the map below. So far it seems working and Tom is no more on the offensive. If I succed in this strategy over 300000 chinese troops will be out of supply and possibly unable to retreat.

I've been controlling the production of A6M2 and Oscar for some turns and I believe that something is going wrong.

Here is the situation

A6M2
pool used production
34 363 284
35 363 285
35 365 286
32 369 287
32 373 288
32 373 289
33 374 290

Oscar
19 371 207
21 371 208
13 384 210
13 386 211
19 386 212
21 386 213
23 387 213

Even if I'm low with engines production (661 produced, 853 needed) I think that I should receive more planes production.
No CV sunk so far, so it's not the sunk CVs bug returning.

Anyone experiencing similar problems?
