I was wondering if any one else has noticed that the Indian Tank Brigades appear to increase the engineering functions dramatically. When I moved the two brigades in India to Calcutta my airfield size was increasing by one almost every turn. Looking in the editor I noticed that Motorized Support and Engineering Vehicles are very similar so I am guessing that the Motorized Support might have something to do with the increase. I guess I just wanted to know if this is intentional or perhaps some kind of oversight.

Thanks,
KHawk

I have also noticed that and mentioned it; watch Karachi go from the beginning, it flies up in strength when the two motor brigades are there. so, based on this, they move around to assist other engineering operations. Nothing new, this behavior has been around since the beginning.

..Oh! We fly o'er the treetops with inches to spare,
There's smoke in the cockpit and gray in my hair.
The tracers look fine as a strafin' we go.
But, brother, we're TOO God damn low...

Just threw a unit of nothing but motorized support on an island ... no building at all so it's not coming from them.

process of elimination ... element by element.

Okay, i tried a dec 7th head to head, stood everything down, built a unit with 1 engineer, 100 motorized support.
Moved it to an empty air base. set the base at 0(1).

next turn it was 49%... then 98%, next turn it was up to 1.
I then ran a few more days. Going from 1 to 2 it went up at 26% a day, from 2 to 3 size went up at about 15% a day.

That is one fast engineer.

Base report showed 1 engineer, 0 engineer vehicles.

Try it with just Motorized support and no ENG squads like in Frag's test. I'm wondering if an ENG squad needs to be present in order to gain a bonus from presence of ENG vehicles (assuming thats what's happening)

Could be Nik ... like I said ... gotta walk through all the possibilities.

Mike, swap the 100 motorized support for 100 support and see if the rate flops back to slow.
