Hello.

I have a quick question. When Allied forces lands on Japanese mainland(by this I mean anywhere inside of Japan except Okinawa) does Japanese forces recieve a additional Home guard divitions?
As I knew more than 1million of conscripts(and also a lot of crazy staff like uber heavy tanks, suicide antitank weapons, rail guns, rocket artilery and so on) were ready to fight Allies in the Battle for the Japan mainland. So does Japan get all this stuff or not?

Yes, there are a bunch of reserved slots specifically for this.

How well are they equiped and what size are they at 25% toe? Historically allot the formation raised were short on everything in cluding small arms let alone arty, or do they draw from the available stocks of equipement in pool.

I take it they are very low experience?

Thank you. Mr.Frag.

Dont ask about experience. All I know that they can shoot at targets. Conscripts was High school students, elder people, women, Korean and Tawanies workers, workers from destroyed war equipment factories and so on. So, in game term these divisions experience level have to be about 10-15 points.
There was some exceptions. It was reserve divisions with experimental equipment as I wrote in my post.

It will really depend on the condition Japan is in when they are coming ... They draw from the same pool as all your other units so if Japan has nothing left, these poor guys are going to be in a sorry state.

BUT NOT ONLY IN HOME ISLAND

IN my current PBME against WILL-WILLE2 (as allies), scenari0 13a, in the first week the allies attempt to capture HANOI, then the 21st DIVISON went to save HANOI, and suddenly in the next turn the following divisions took place, all of them attached to southern Area ARMY;

the 4th VM(dont Know whats mean) Division infantery unit at HUE

The 1st VM Division, (dont remenber if appear at hanoi or Luang Prabag)
The 2nd VM Division
The 3nd VM Division

so now i have 4 new divisions in the burma area army

VM= Viet Minh; precursor to Viet Cong. Nationalist Vietnamese
Really should not leave Vietnam as they wouldn't do that; so if you are a reasonable person, they will just garrison their country.
Historically, fought a low level insurgent campaign vs. both the French and IJA; lightly supported by US. At wars end, we withdrew the support and helped the French move back in....and you all know the rest of the story...<Paul Harvey voice>.
Right or wrong, it is a programmed response to an invasion especially by the Chinese who the Viets have an extreme distaste for (as a former Chinese vassal state going back over a 1000 years ago or something like that). So, hands of Hanoi (sound familiar?)
