Are the different version (English,French,German,...) of Cog fully compatible for PBEM or the players have absolutely to get the same version?

I am just wondering whether I should pick up the English version,or wait for the French version release.
At least could I hope that it has been correctly translated...

as most of the time the people involved in the translation don't even know what they are talking about...

They'll be compatible, though the reports the players read will be written in the language used by the last human player in the turn order.

I just hope I won't play after a german or sweedish guy ...
there should be an option to lock text into english for PBEM. Don't you think ?

It would be nice, but it's not as easily implemented as you might imagine, and it may be the case that the resources required to implement this would be better allocated elsewhere.
