Hello...

Zip up the saved game .dat file and send it to mikew@matrixgames.com with your email software (Outlook Express?), along with a description as to what the problem is.

Bye...

Riun, the steel.prf file is a record of the preferences you have set for the game (fast artillery on/off, true troop /rarity on/off, etc.). Now, once in awhile you should delete this file and reset your preferences. For some unknown reason, the steel.prf sometimes gets corrupted and screws up the game routines. It is an unfortunate quirk of the game. However, it serves a purpose so it should be present in your saves folder.

Ok Gunny sounds like sound advise, I emailed Mike W with the DAT file and tried going threw the whole resellecting,Rerepairing and upgrading only three more times and it gave me a land assault at Madang so That part is handled for now.
Was wondering if I have to replace the Prf file after deleteing or does the comp remake one when I reset my pref's?? get back to me I'll keep watching forum for more of anyones advice and hopefully Mike will have looked at the file I sent him too? RT
Sure am tired of doing things this way.
