I've actually been thinking about it for years so heres some questions
Does the 4 mega campaigns download have to include the whole game ? I only have dial up and it would take years to download the whole game again as well as the campaigns.
What does the lost leaders bug do and is it a big problem, any other bugs ?
Is it compatible with 8.4 oobs wise ?, I'm aware of the C&C bug and will wait to see if they fix it anyway.

I too am band width challeged and have to rely on dial up. For $10 more you can get a hard copy of the CD mailed to you.

Haven't heard of a leader bug here. That is more of a War in the pacific problem and even there it is not too big a deal, just an annoyance.

C&C, simply don't use it and you will be fine.

And yes, if you want the Mega Campaigns, you must get the whole thing. Matrix used to offer the MC's seperately, but stopped doing so. Unfortunately for me, I only managed to pick up two before they were discontinued...

Here's the cold hard truth-- once the current stock runs out, that is the end. Buy 'em up now, guys--Matrix is phasing the individual Megas out-- official support for SPWaW is waning.

...Which seems unreal for some reason. Maybe it's the fact that we've been playing this same game for a decade now (basically). The only other game that has that long of a run for me is Nethack.

Maybe the 'Steel Panthers' replacement game will arrive one day.

By that time, I may have made it half way through my mega campaigns! :)

But of course! --I've been tempted to buy a plug in 10-key for my laptop to make playing it easier at school/wherever.

I just love the "everything but the kitchen sink" type of game -- which Steel Panthers certainly is as well. Come to think of it, there *is* a kitchen sink in Nethack!
