Anyone else experiencing problems setting up battles with/against Soviets and thier purchase point advantage?

I can set as player 1 Soviet a 2K meeting engagement and get Axis 1.5k points, but when I reverse sides, I get totally different values.

Furthermore, future patch material, it'd be nice to be able to handicap against the AI or noobs.

And maybe not just versus the Red Army.

I'm not sure but once I bought an Infantry Company of Finns with a couple of AT-Guns and computer replied with about 20 tanks and supporting infantry.

In a four thousand battle japs vs russians. I knocked off 157 tanks and 1500 men seemed and excessive amonunt of tanks for the russians. Plus thry had 152 big guns that pounded me all thru the game.

There's a hardcoded soviet purchase advantage, about 20-25% I think, when leaving one's sides battle points at XXX when the Russkies are involved.

I just can't get consistent results, and was wondering if their was some specific way of doing it that I've missed.
