Not for lack of effort, I cannot figure out how the MLE's do their thing.

As I understand it, they will enable you to restock your mine layers where you do not have the luxury of an accessible port that meets the minimum requirements. I thought that the MLE's only need to be in the same port hex. I have tried numerous ways and haven't had success.

What is the procedure?

Believe you need a certain amount of supply at the port also. But I will check this thread for answers as I have made several and plan to use them in my game.

Also, note that the MLE's must be the same nationality as the minelayer or sub being resupplied.

I need to check on this myself, but I think the port needs to be at least size 5, as opposed to size 9 without an MLE. Plus you need an adequate supply level.

I think Size 5 is correct for the MLE.

Hi

1. MLE will only replenish ML/DM/SS of the SAME nationality.
2. The MLE must be in a base with at least more more supplies than the base requirement. Does not matter if disbanded or not. Port must be >= 1.
3. MLE must have Ops points available. No float damage or fires. Sys damage <50.

Oh. Have the ML in port with conditions met. Press "Replenish from port". It should load up mines [should even work for SS]

Note that fixes were made to MLEs in patch 1.6.

I don't believe there is a size restriction with using MLEs.

I perform testing with replenishing from MLE in a size 3 port.

I was thinking the supply amount was 20,000 needed.

Yea, that phrase "sufficient supply".

Could have meant:
(1) >20k
(2) >twice base requirements

But I found it worked if supplies on hand were more than what the base's requirements were. Whether this is right or wrong, it was what I found.

BTW, SS mine replenishment seems not to use up any supplies or ops points.
