Status: offline 		Hi everyone,

After reading the forum and fondly recalling playing War in the South Pacific on my Apple II when I was in school, I decided to get this game. The basic digital download version is currently 2.41. It seems some people think 2.30 was actually better - but I don't see how I can get this since i have a more current version. Is 2.42 beta worse than 2.41? Is there anything I could do to "downgrade" to an earlier version? Any help or comment on the patches is appreciated......

Status: offline 		2.42 is better than 2.41 but still has (to a lesser degree) the missing aircraft bug.....

Status: offline 		No problems with 2.41 . None that I have seen anyway. My troops don't seem to disapear.

Status: offline 		play about 3 months into one of the grand campaign scenarios....that's when the aircraft dissappearing bug starts bitin' ya....

Status: offline 		A couple of months ago I went back to 2.0, haven't had any problems. Of course, it's been a while since I last played, so I don't remember what the patches improved/changed.

Status: offline 		The best way to play is PBEM against another person but yiou ned to ensure you both run the same version.
