Those are the banners of the Chevau Legers Polonais de la Garde Imperiale, created by Nappy in 1807.

That's awesome! What are the construction materials?

I'm gonna go with the spelling on the banner :)

Not sure, perhaps silk and lots of gold thread. These didn't look like battle standards, that is they seemed flimsy to be carried into battle. There were other more impressive banners but they weren't lit up enough for good shots.

On the other hand, I can tell you the construction materials of the MiG23MF but that's outside the scope of this forum :)

Right you are. In an ironic twist, the German Leopard 1A4 is parked right at the entrance, it's gun pointed at the gates.

I found the museum annex on Powsinska much more interesting. Lots of APC's, planes, and other equipment there.

It was also more interactive :) Below is the view from the turret of a BMP variant.

Yes, the Powsinska one has the more interesting hardware (lots more of it, anyway). Did you stop inside the Katyn exhibit that's indoors?

No, Oswiencim/Brzezinka was like a giant punch to the head, I'm done with massacres.
